I’m continually impressed with the way this blog puts me in touch with people I would never otherwise have known existed.
I’ve just been asked to speak at a conference on climate change for teachers organised by ActionAid and Queen Mary uni in London. Teaching people, particularly schoolkids, about climate change is really at the heart of this project, so I am stoked to have this opportunity. On similar lines, I’m hoping to set up some educational work with a couple of schools over the next couple of weeks, ideally so the kids can follow the expedition live on this blog.
ActionAid already produce a pretty useful-looking toolkit for teachers to bring climate change into the classroom and it will be really interesting to see what other people are doing too. The conference is in June. Maybe I’ll see some of you there.
